Safeguarding Statement
Lough Rinn Dragons is fully committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members. The welfare and wellbeing of every participant is our top priority, and we expect all members to uphold a culture of mutual respect, dignity, and appropriate conduct at all times.
Any concerns, complaints, or safeguarding issues should be raised with a member of the club committee in the first instance. All matters will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and, where possible, managed confidentially. The committee will review the issue promptly and aim to respond within 7–14 days, depending on the nature and complexity of the concern.
Our disciplinary procedures are guided by fairness, transparency, and respect for all parties involved. Where appropriate, issues will be addressed informally in the first instance, with a focus on early resolution. If required, a formal process may be initiated, which can include fact-finding, meetings with relevant individuals, and agreed outcomes or actions.
We always endeavour to resolve issues in a holistic and constructive manner, ensuring that all voices are heard and that outcomes support the wellbeing of individuals and the wider club community.
If a matter cannot be satisfactorily resolved within the club, or if it is of a serious nature, it may be referred to an appropriate independent third-party organisation for further review and guidance.
By joining Lough Rinn Dragons, members agree to abide by this safeguarding approach and to contribute positively to a safe and supportive club environment.
