CLUB COMMITTEE
Chairperson
Siobhan Doran
I’m Siobhán Doran, Chairperson of the Loughrinn Dragons. As a breast cancer survivor, this club holds deep personal meaning for me. It’s a supportive community of survivors and allies that has helped me navigate both recovery and grief, while building strength and connection on and off the water. With a long-standing background in triathlon and marathon running, I am a Triathlon Ireland Tri Leader Level 1 coach. I bring that experience into my role as a qualified helm and coach, where I combine structured training with an inclusive, supportive approach. As a club, we’ve created a strong sense of camaraderie, balancing a healthy level of competitive spirit with fun, while always looking out for one another. One of the highlights of my journey was leading our team to its first regatta win in Ballina—an achievement that reflects the resilience, teamwork, and spirit of our members. I also hold certifications in first aid and hope to gather a qualification as a personal trainer in the future. Together, we grow stronger—on the water and beyond.
