  • Getting started with Lough Rinn Dragons is easy and open to everyone, regardless of fitness level or experience. Simply reach out to us (see contact details below), and we’ll invite you to a beginner-friendly session. We provide basic guidance, safety instruction, and all necessary equipment for your first few paddles. Just bring comfortable clothing, a positive attitude, and be ready to have fun on the water!

As a member of Lough Rinn Dragon Boat Club, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

I agree to behave in a responsible and respectful manner at all times and to wear a PFD (personal flotation device) when on or around the water. I will follow the instructions of the Helm/Coach while participating in all on-water activities and acknowledge that I am responsible for my own safety.

I understand that my behaviour directly impacts the safety, wellbeing, and experience of my fellow crew members. I agree to uphold a positive, team-focused environment at all times.

I accept that any behaviour deemed unsportsmanlike, irresponsible, or dangerous may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or dismissal from the club, as determined by the club committee.

I consent to photographs and videos taken during club activities being used for promotional purposes, including on social media platforms.

Lough Rinn Dragons is affiliated with and governed by the Irish Dragon Boat Association Limited (IDBA) (www.dragonboat.ie). I agree to abide by all club rules, policies, and guidelines, as well as the regulations set out by the IDBA and any 3rd party event organisers while representing the club.

Once a membership application has been accepted, membership fees are non-refundable. If a membership application is declined, the membership fee will be refunded, excluding any applicable handling or service charges.

Lough Rinn Dragons is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all members, in line with club policies and the safety standards set by our governing body, including provisions under member-to-member and public liability insurance.

Any breach of these terms and conditions will be taken seriously and reviewed by the club committee, which may result in suspension or termination of membership.

By joining Lough Rinn Dragons, I acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
